This evaluation model is built on the premise that the modern NBA is defined by functional roles, not traditional positions. The goal is to accurately project a prospect's value based on the specific job they will perform at the next level.
Universal Evaluation: Every single one of the 46 categories is graded for every player on a 0-100 scale. This ensures that unique, "unicorn" traits—like a center with elite passing vision or a forward with elite rim protection—are captured and accounted for. No skill is ignored.
Archetype-Specific Weighting: The raw scores are then filtered through the Archetype Multiplier Chart (see below). This step is crucial. It ensures that a player's final grade reflects their proficiency in the skills that matter most for their projected NBA role.
Example: An elite "Rim Runner" isn't penalized heavily for poor 3-point shooting (x1.0 multiplier), but they are massively rewarded for elite physical tools and rim protection (x4.0 multipliers). Conversely, an "Initiator" is heavily weighted on playmaking and mental processing.
Holistic Pillars: The system is broken down into four pillars to provide a complete picture of a prospect:
Physical Profile: The raw tools that determine a player's athletic ceiling.
Offensive Skillset: A comprehensive look at scoring, shooting, and the crucial ability to create for others.
Defensive Impact: Evaluating a player's ability to get stops both on and off the ball.
Mental & Intangibles: The "software" that determines how well a player can apply their physical and technical gifts in a professional environment.
The chart below visually represents how different skills are valued for each player archetype. The color-coded multipliers (green for high, red for low) instantly show where a player in a specific role needs to excel to achieve a high final grade.
